Games from the Past

Posted by admin on Sep 10, 2010 in Classic games

Like most kids growing up before their teenage years I enjoyed playing lots of different games. Today I have less time to enjoy a long summer break playing games, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy them any less. Looking back a vast majority hold a special place in my memory. I’m sure I was like many others hoping one day to create a game that’s was equally entertaining.

Here’s a of my favourite games I enjoyed playing on an Amiga 500.

Project X

This was a tough Game. I think I got to the last level but never finished. It was a tough game to beat. i think a later release came out which made it a little easier to complete. But lots of fun none the less.

Shadow of the beast 2

one of the first games i played in the Amiga. Spent many hours trying to complete this game, the intro was exceptionally good.

R-Type

I remember this in the Arcade a classic game and creative weaponary

Sim City

When you think you where in control of an entire metropolitan city it easy to get power hungry or destructive

Silly putty

I was facinated with the silly graphics and game play after seeing a review on Games Master

Eye of the beholder series

These titles transported me into the dungeons and crypts of the underworld.

Disposable Hero

I remember winning this game in a magazine contest. It hase great graphics and cinematic intro, it was fun to play.

Another World

This was revolutionary game very creative use of gameplay and story.

Flashback

The sequal to Another world and it really built on on the foundation of Another World. truly a classy game.

Speedball 2

Another great title that provided both action game play and tactical play.

Rainbow Islands

A cutesy platform game that was fun and entertaining.
